Janet Vigilante
President & Founder
World Traveler, Innovator and Pioneer. Her background in airline, public relations, sales & marketing has led Janet to see possibilities everywhere. Transplanted from New York to Florida, the #1 cruise port in the world, she opened Anchors Away in 1985, trained hundreds of cruise specialists and thousands on a cruise of a lifetime. As a young entrepreneur Janet grew up with the cruise industry and has held a position on CLIA’s Starboard for 11 years. New ships and new destinations continue to be exciting for our President & CEO. The advice she was given is, “Do what you love.” Of that she says, “I did and I do. Let’s Go Cruising!!”
Michael Cohen
Director of Sales & Marketing
Michael has 45 years of professional experience with focused dedication to the hospitality, travel, tourism and cruise industries.
Michael’s expertise ranges from an Independent Retail “Mini” Chain Owner/Manager to Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for some of South Florida’s finest Cruise Products.
His travel experience encompasses retail, wholesale, incentive and group travel. His has earned and achieved the industry’s highest professional designation of Certified Travel Counselor ( CTC).
Michelle & Claudette
Cruise Specialists
Born in Eralton, Ontario we were raised bi-lingual speaking French & English and it was always as asset. Michelle relocated to New Jersey then to Florida, Claudette continues the snowbird route yearly. In February 2007 it was time to celebrate a family milestone, they found Anchors Away, booked their group cruise and decided to make it their hometown cruise agency. We have been very successful escorting large groups to Alaska, Caribbean and Europe, all in French. It’s has been wonderful! This Dynamic Duo proves word of mouth, excellent service and attention to detail is all part of being a devoted Travel Advisor. We love cruising!
